When ever I sense flue / throat infection symptoms, I would do this detoxification for a day and it will be gone like magic ✨. This has been working wonders for me and for few of my family members and so I thought of sharing it with you guys! It’s a well known fact that lemon is extremely rich in vitamin C, it helps detoxify our body. Even if you don’t have the flue symptoms you can still do this to detoxify your body from various toxins that get accumulated (due to consumption of junk food / intake of medicines / inhalation of polluted air etc…), once in a month.
Through this detoxification process we do not consume heavy food hence give a lot of time for the body’s natural defence system aka immune system to produce antibodies and act on the antigen (bacteria, viruses, or fungi that cause infection and disease) & inactivate them! I believe our forefathers knew the benefits of this and hence made a custom to fast on Shukla Paksha Ekadashi <an auspicious day, 11th lunar day in waxing phase, which occurs in a Hindu calendar month> that comes up monthly once… How wise of them! So instead of a complete fast, how about this with lemon & honey!

- 1 glass of warm water 💦
- 1/2 Lemon 🍋
- 1tbsp local & wild Honey 🍯 <*daily consumption of local wild honey is a very effective home remedy for allergies>

How to prepare?
- Pour a glass of warm water from the kettle.
- Squeeze in half a lemon.
- Add a tbsp of wild honey.
- Stir & drink.

How to do detoxification for a day?
- Do this preferably when you are at home and when there is not much physical work to do.
- Start your day by drinking 1ltr of warm water in the morning and then clean up ur stomach.
- After an hour have warm lemon juice with honey.
- After an hour have plain warm water.
- And repeat this till evening 6pm.
- Then have a very light dinner like pulka with salard or just fruits!
Between how does it work?

When an antigen enters the body, it stimulates the immune system to produce antibodies. (The immune system is the body’s natural defense system.)
