Hello friends… I am going to share the recipe of this Bengali Indian 🇮🇳 delicacy called Sandesh… It’s simple n delicious and a hit in my family… Do give it a try…
Ingredients:
1C organic soft cottage cheese / chhena (check out my post Homemade organic cottage cheese 🧀/paneer n chhena)
1C grated organic jaggery (or reduce according to your taste)
How to?
- Knead chhena with your knuckles until it becomes soft…
- Grate jaggery…
- In a nonstick pan add chhena and cook it on low flame for 2mins n then add the grated jaggery.. Stirr occasionally n cook it for 10 mins or until it comes to a thick consistency like this 👇
- Let it cool… Using your hands roll them n make small balls, flatten a bit, tuck the edges n shape them like this 👇
- Garnish with chopped nuts / saffron… Simple n delicious 😋 sandesh is ready!
